After carefully listening to the video several times and searching for the names on the world-wide-web, I believe I have the list. It is not yet posted on the Milton web page, nor have I found any articles.
Milton 708 Board:
- Drew Ellis, 4 year term, Trustee, Milton Township Board
- Stephanie Linares Hood, 2 year term, Attorney, EDWARDS MAXSON MAGO & MACAULAY LLP & 2014 candidate for Illinois State Senator
- Christine Evans, 2 years, Case Manager Coordinator for DuPage County Community Services
- Jae Kwon, 3 Year term, Just – Serving Inmates Changing Lives – Board Member
- Dr. James E. Shannon, 3 year term, Peoples Community Church – Pastor
- Shannon Hartnett, 4 year term, Executive Director Northeast DuPage Family and Youth Service
- Kara Murphy, 4 year term, President, DuPage Health Coalition

The first Milton Township Community Mental Health Board has been appointed! More details will follow about each of the board members. We congratulate them and look forward to the next steps in their planning.
Drew Ellis, MS
Drew is currently a Milton Township Trustee. He is a Banker by profession and brings over 35 years of experience in the business and municipal finance and credit risk management and auditing.
Christine Evans, MSW, LCSW
Christine is a social worker who has been with the DuPage County Community Services for over 26 years, working as Case Manager for Seniors Hospital, Adult Protective Services Ombudsman, and Coordinator of the Money Management (MM) Program and Family Self-Sufficiency.
Shannon Hartnett, MA
Shannon serves as the Executive Director Northeast DuPage Family and Youth Services since 2016. She previously supervised the Juvenile Diversion and Victims Services Unit for the 18th Judicial Circuit Department of Probation and Court Services.
Stephanie Linares Hood, JD
Stephanie was recently appointed to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Board in DuPage and has worked as an attorney for several local law firms. She also sits on the Board of Director Illinois Association of Independent Attorneys.
Jae Kwan, JD
Jae is currently an attorney at a local area law firm. Prior to this, he served for 12 years an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Felony Trial Division working in Juvenile Justice/Abuse & Neglect and other areas.
Kara Murphy, MS
Kara has been President of the DuPage Health Coalition for past 6 years and currently serves as Adjunct Professor at NorthCentral College. She is long-serving Board Member of the DuPage Federation on Human Services Reform and acts as Chair of the Advisory Council Northeastern Illinois Agency on Aging, Co-Chair of Impact DuPage.
Reverend James Shannon, MS, DMin
Rev. Shannon currently serves as the Pastor of the People’s Community Church in Glen Ellyn and leads several ministries focused on mentoring youth, substance use and addiction recovery and academic tutoring in CC School District 89. He is a former public school teacher in Chicago, and worked in management for several large corporations.
